The windy weather almost caused a serious wardrobe malfunction for Kate Middleton as she arrived at Calgary airport today with husband Prince William, on the next leg of their Canadian tour. It may have made the Duchess’s hair look attractively tousled, but it also grabbed the skirt of her pale yellow Jenny Packham dress, and tried to pull it over her head! Ever the lady, however, Catherine kept calm and carried on.

These are actually some of our favourite photos of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge: there are shades of Princess Diana in the warm way Kate interacted with the waiting guests, including six-year-old Diamond Marshall from ‘Make a Wish Foundation’ who is suffering from Stage 4 sarcoma. Diamond overcame her initial shyness to present Kate with a bunch of flowers, earning a warm hug from the Duchess:

As for the clothes, as mentioned above, Kate wore a simple yellow dress by British designer Jenny Packham, paired with – what else – her nude LK Bennett Sledge2 pumps!

Before getting into that canoe, Kate Middleton and Prince William dressed a little more formally to be officially welcomed to Yellowknife, Canada.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore a beige, long-sleeved linen dress from the By Malene Birger line (click here to buy it), with a pair of nude patent LK Bennett pumps which are a Kate Middleton style favourite – and completely sold-out at the store, unfortunately, so if you want to steal this particular element of Kate’s style, you’ll have to settle for one of the many other options available!

Kate stuck to her signature hair and makeup style: her hair was left loose, and curled at the bottom, while her makeup was minimal, with her usual black eyeliner:

While Kate Middleton and Prince William are busy touring Canada as part of their first official tour, Kate’s little sister, Pippa Middleton, was having a slightly more relaxed day in London this afternoon.

Pippa was snapped wearing a cropped leather jacket, short, printed dress and ballet flats, while doing a Starbucks run in London. Pippa finished of the look with a pair of dark glasses, bright red handbag and causal updo.

Kate Middleton and Prince William visited Blachford Lake, in Yellowknife, Canada, this week, as part of their current tour of Canada.

The couple visited the Rangers Station, met with First Nation villagers and later canoed to Honeymoon Island where they spent a secluded night together in tents.

The Duchess of Cambridge dressed casually for the trip, in a pair of dark jeans, worn with a beige shirt and shoes. She managed to look as elegant and as perfectly groomed as ever, though, which is testament to that famous Kate Middleton style: not many of us could look this good in a canoe!

Kate Middleton stuck to the good old UK high street for the 2011 Canda Day celebrations, wearing a white dress from one of her favourite brands, Reiss.

Thanks to the Kate Middleton effect, the white ‘Nanette’ dress sold out as soon as the Duchess of Cambridge was spotted wearing it, with women happy to pay the £159 price tag to grab themselves a helping of Kate Middleton style.

Kate accessorised her white dress with a red hat which featured a maple leaf design: very appropriate for Canada day!

One of the most interesting aspects of Kate Middleton’s style, for many people, is her ability to go from high street to high-end fashion without breaking a sweat – or looking noticeably different.

While UK high street stalwarts LK Bennetts and Whistles form a large part of the Duchess of Cambridge’s wardrobe for her tour of Canada,  for her visit to Prince Edward Usland, with husband Prince William, Kate chose a totally high-end designer look, wearing a cream, cable-knit dress by Alexander McQueen, and a pair of navy suede Prada pumps.

Alexander McQueen, of course, is one of the Duchess’s favourite brands, with Sarah Burton designing both of the dresses Kate wore on her wedding day. What may appear to be a relatively simple outfit here, however, has actually been meticulously co-ordinated, with the navy shoes (navy very quickly becoming one of Catherine’s signature colours) matching the trim of the dress, and Kate’s sapphire earrings and engagement ring blending in perfectly with the whole.

It’s been a busy Sunday morning for Kate Middleton and Prince William. While most of us were still in bed, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge first of all attended a welcome ceremony at City Hall in Quebec, Canada, before morning service on HMCS Montreal.

K-Mid played it safe for these two events, sticking to one of her favoured colours (navy), in the form of a lace top shift dress by Ederm, and the nude, LK Bennett shoes she’s been wearing frequently on this trip. The Duchess has been getting a fair bit of stick from the fashion press over these shoes, which she’s apparently worn a few more times than they feel is appropriate . We think it’s refreshing to see a member of the Royal Family – or, indeed, any celebrity – wear the same item more than once, and nude shoes DO go with everything, no?

The usual hairstyle and makeup were in place, too, with Kate’s hair looking particularly lovely.
